Going across the continent and coming back will take a while, especially because we want to see favorite people as well as places known and unknown. We'll visit at least seven national parks, see lots of historic places, hang with family and friends across the country, play some golf and eat what should be some great food along the way.
Stage One: Virginia to Austin, TX
Stage Two: Austin to San Francisco
Stage Three: San Francisco to Friday Harbor, WA
Stage Four: Poulsbo, WA to Virginia
What this blog is and isn't
Don't expect a lot of travel tips, unless something goes really right or really wrong and we talk about it. We'll update our map as we travel so you can see where we've been and where we are going.
Expect to see lots of pictures and video, and we will write about what we've seen and experienced. As much as this is a way to see North America and experience it, it's also about the people and places we go to.
The US and Canada are big and we are only going to see small parts of them, but the geographic, demographic and political diversity will be of interest to us both. We'll talk about all of that while working to keep our own politics in the background (mostly, anyway).

What an awesome adventure!! We cannot wait to read about all of your escapades!! ❤️
